The Eureka Titan Luxury Family Tent Review

Living close to the Canadian Rockies as we do, we’re very fortunate to have some of the world’s greatest scenery, and wonderful camping opportunities close by. I’ve always wanted to enjoy the weekends in our “West Country” but it seemed when our family was younger, we were always busy with other activities and just never got around to it.

Now that the children are gone, I convinced my wife that we should try it, and rather than spend a large sum on a RV, we decided to opt for a decent tent. However, when doing my research on what was available, I struggled to find any quality information on the model that looked the best to me; the Eureka Titan Luxury Family Tent, and have decided to correct that by providing my own review.

Let’s take a look at the Eureka Titan Luxury Family Tent features in a bit more detail.

Size – Who said size doesn’t matter?

The Eureka Titan Luxury Family Tent is huge. The floor area is a whopping 128 sq ft, or 13′ 6″x 9′ 6″. That’s bigger than a lot of rooms in a family home! The walls are actually almost vertical, which really helps with the usable space inside. There is a removable divider that is used to create two rooms – great for Mom & Dad to have a little privacy from the kids. When they say room for eight, they mean exactly that!

Heavy duty construction – yet lightweight

The frame is constructed of very light weight, but extremely strong, aluminum poles, that all interconnect to a central hub. With a clever color coded clip & roof system it makes sense even the first time you erect it, and then the second time is a breeze.

The wall fabric is:- “70D nylon taffeta with 1200mm coating/ 1.9 oz. permeable taffeta nylon”
That’s techie speak for “very strong, very lightweight, windproof, &  waterproof and long lasting”

The floor fabric is:-”4-ounce 210D Oxford polyester with 1200mm coating”
In other words, it pours down raining? Don’t fret my friend, You’ll be sleeping on a heavy duty flooring, constructed from a nylon fabric that has excellent water repellent capabilities.

The fly fabric is:- 2-ounce 75D StormShield
Meaning mother nature can hurl whatever at you, your Eureka Titan Luxury Family Tent will be dry & secure.

The pack size:- Just 12 x 29 inches! That’s about the size of a small suitcase so no matter if you’re driving a SUV or a compact, this will be easy to stow & transport.

The weight:- Just 32lbs, all up, poles, fly, tent & everything. Even the kids can carry it.

The Extras built into the Eureka Titan Luxury Family Tent

With a built in corner closet, rings for hangers, mesh pockets in the roof panels, and even clothesline rings at each eave, you’ll appreciate these Eureka Titan Luxury Family Tent little extras. Eureka have not skipped any details. This is almost like home!

There’s nothing worse than being cooped up in a dark tent, especially if the weather is a bit inclement.
The Eureka Titan Luxury Family 13.5-Foot by 9.5-Foot Eight-Person Two-Room Tent won’t be leaving you in the dark, as it’s equipped with no less than six (6) windows, not only ensuring a bright interior, but also unsurpassed ventilation. You can be assured you’re buying the best with a product from Eureka.

How much, you ask?

At the time of this review, the Eureka Titan Luxury Family Tent is selling on Eureka’s website for $599.90 but I’d suggest there are better places to buy from.

On checking both retail stores and elsewhere online, about the best price I saw was on Amazon, where you’ll save well over $100 from the manufacturer’s list price. Combine that with their Super Saver Shipping deal, and you’ll have a package that’s hard to beat.

Any complaints?

Despite a pretty thorough search through the Amazon reviews, reviews on the Internet, I didn’t find anything. A pretty good testament I’d say.

As I write this we’re suffering from the lingering effects of a brutal winter, with our great Canadian landscape under a deep blanket of snow. I’m yearning for the day when spring has bought our country to life again, and my wife and I can at last enjoy some enjoyable weekends in one of our majestic foothills campgrounds, in a new Eureka Titan Luxury Family Tent.
